This release is about one thing: downloading a whole album or playlist and actually getting it. Octave handed iOS a few songs at a time and kept the rest of the queue in memory only. iOS suspends and then terminates apps in the background constantly — that is normal, not a crash — and every time it did, the songs still waiting were gone. Nothing told you. The album just sat there part-saved, and starting it again only re-queued the same handful. That is why 'downloads don't work' for so many people, and why it looked random: it depended entirely on when your phone decided to close the app. The queue is now written to disk as you go. When iOS wakes Octave — because a download finished, or because you opened it again — it reads what it still owes you and hands the next batch straight to the system downloader, which keeps running whether Octave is open or not. Kill the app mid-download as many times as you like; the album finishes. Anything left half-saved by older versions is repaired on your next launch instead of being retried forever. Two smaller fixes ride along: downloads now save at the Download quality you chose in Settings, rather than inheriting whatever quality your connection was on at that moment, and songs that aren't available in Lossless are saved under the format they really are, so they open properly instead of being re-downloaded on every launch.
