About IPAGalaxy

IPAGalaxy is an archival index of the iOS app ecosystem. Every application in the catalog is treated as a historical record: a developer, a bundle identifier, and a sequence of versions, each with whatever metadata, screenshots, and artifacts have been preserved for it.

The ecosystem itself is the map we’re charting. Apps are individual points within it. Developers group related applications together. Versions trace an application’s history through time. IPAGalaxy is the record of that structure.

IPAGalaxy is not a download site in the ordinary sense. Every artifact in the catalog is attributed to one or more sources, and that provenance is shown alongside the record. Where a hash is known, it’s published so a downloaded artifact can be independently verified against the record.

Anyone can submit an IPA for an application already in the catalog. A submission never appears anywhere on the site, and is never downloadable, until an admin has reviewed and verified it — checking it against the version it claims to be and recording it as a proper source. Only verified artifacts get a download button on their app and version pages.
