Downloads were repaired a couple of releases ago, but the repair could not reach the people who most needed it. When a download failed, Octave put that song on a cooldown that widened each time it happened, up to a full day, and it kept that list across updates. So anyone who collected cooldowns while downloads were broken carried them straight into the fixed version: automatic downloads kept skipping those songs, and installing the update looked like it changed nothing at all. This build clears that list once, on first launch. A song that genuinely is not available will earn its cooldown back on the next attempt, one attempt at a time, so nothing gets hammered — it simply gets a fair first try under code that works. Elsewhere: a listening party no longer drops someone who is still in the room when their connection blips, which is what left two devices disagreeing about how many people were listening; clearing your queue twice now deals a different set of songs instead of the same lineup; a Spotify import longer than three hundred songs resolves all the way to the end rather than stopping there; a podcast episode that refuses to play says whether it is behind a subscription or blocked by its host, instead of being skipped in silence; and a track that is provably still downloading gets the time it needs before Octave suggests something has gone wrong.
